The fascination of instant photography lies in its immediacy and the uniqueness of each individual image. Due to its technical imperfections, it reminds some people of the Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy. At the same time, it captivates with its analogue, tactile nature and its unpredictability. In my photo shoots with models, I like to shoot on instant film on the side and actively involve the models. The models enjoy the immediate tactile experience of instant photography and play with my Polaroid cameras. I often ask the models to sign their favorite pictures. I describe why the model signs the Polaroids and not me as the photographer in my article “Polaroid Passion?”.
